The villa was lovely - the location excellent and locals friendly- We spent part of each day traveling round and were particularly sad to see the hurricane damage at Punta Gorda - The weather was great (average 84 degrees) each day and we spent most afternoons by the pool - A couple of things which we particularly enjoyed (and noted in the villa journal) for info of future guests were (1) The Broadway Theatre where we went to an evening performance of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers which was a smashing night out with excellent buffet/wine etc and also a trip from Sam's Boatyard (approx 3 hrs) - Shelling/Dolphin spotting & on the way back trawling the bottom to gather sealife specimens - An excellent & interesting way of sunbathing

Thank you once again for allowing us to rent your home for the past two weeks, we truly had a great time. My Son-in-Law and I were be-friended at the Colony Golf course by a local Guy who had retired to Florida from Michigan, who was accompanied by his Son visiting from Tennessee. We enjoyed each others company very much, and they invited us to some other courses in the area. Honours worked out about even on the Golf course, and we played the 19th hole together very seriously.
In the end the weather was very, very kind to us. Even when we travelled to the Key's and Miami area. We had a great time everywhere we went and all agreed that we much prefer the South West of Florida than all the other places we have visited in the State over recent years.

Thanks for everything. Our staying in your beautiful home was very enjoyable considering the circumstances. We were relieved that it came thru Charley with little or no damage. Three other properties around the lake lost their Lanai's and several others had the screens torn. Thankfully none of your neighbours had serious damage.
There is nothing that needs changing or adding to your home - it was perfect. We hope to return again in the future to explore Fort Myers & beaches and would love to be able to stay again in your home.
We all loved your home and my 16 year old son did not want to leave and go to the other villa. Although we had a great time with our family, the other house was very disappointing after yours and we all kept making comparisons. It really was a house used for rentals and not a family home like yours.
Once again thank you for the use of your beautiful home and cannot recommend it highly enough.

We arrived at your villa on the Saturday afternoon and we were all very very pleased ..........the villa is beautiful, it had everything we needed and more.
We loved everything about the area, the location and the lake. The inside of the villa is immaculate, so clean and very well presented.
In your e-mail you ask for any comments that would have made our stay more enjoyable, well I can not think of any (and thats not like me, I am a bit of a perfectionist...........or so I am told !)
I would like to thank you both very much, you have been so organised from the time I first enquired about the villa, until we received all the written information (the directions to the villa were very good, we didnt get lost.......which must be a first)
We all had a great week, and did all the things we planned. Our only regret is that we didnt stay in your villa for 3 weeks............ Perhaps next time.

Thank you very much for allowing us to have the use of Sanderling Villa. We couldn't of asked for anything more. The location and house were fantastic. We had a very relaxing time. The kids loved the fact that the pool was warm. The house we stayed in the first 2 weeks was not of the quality or cleanliness of yours and the pool was cold.

Our time here in warm Florida and at your home is about over. We enjoyed it very much especially when we looked at Wisconsin weather and learned from people back home that they had 48 inches of snow in 10 days.
The pool is in very good condition. The pool guy has been coming every Friday and he does a good job of keeping it very clean. Also the landscape people do a very good job of keeping the grass and outside areas trimmed and neat. The bird of paridise bush along side of the garage is doing a magnificent job of blooming this year. I counted 10 blooms one day and one was as beautiful as the other. The hibiscus bushes around the pool area have been blooming so beautifully also.
There was a constant wild life show in the lake this year. We saw cranes eating a snake, fish, and a flock of cumerands fishing that was a marvel to watch.
We loved to watch the bald eagle that they say is nesting in the preserve area glide around the lake.
