Fort Myers is a small city, known as 'The City of Palms', on the south west Gulf Coast some 30 miles north of the Naples and 80 miles south of Sarasota. It is easily accessible by road using Interstate 75, or you can fly into the local airport (RSW) which has both internal flights from the US and international flights from Canada and Germany. Tampa and Miami are both about two and a half hours drive. Orlando is about three and a half hours.

To the south and west of Fort Myers are the islands of Sanibel, Captiva, Estero Island, and Lovers Key. Many small islands are only accessible by boat.

Wellington is a small, exclusive, residential community on the southern outskirts of Fort Myers. The majority of homes are occupied by US families . The community is situated in the highly sought after area of Winkler, south of Summerlin. At the end of Winkler is a Nature Preserve with walking trails. Publix and Walgreens are found in the nearby Summerlin Crossing shopping centre.

The beaches of Sanibel and Estero Island are 10 minutes drive away
